I would say if and only if you are 1). Deeply interested. 2). Reading it in the context of much additional material. In your case, both might be true. Are you thinking of it as an educator or as a parent?
Yes, probably. I think it is a very helpful counterbalance to the increasingly common notion that everything is genetic and education and child-rearing don't matter. That said, use humane judgment with respect to applying the ideas therein to your children.
Coming to this obviously very late, but I'd like to know how you think about updating it for today and maybe updating it for older children. Maybe a discussion to have with both of you when we can get together.
